Rush Oak Brook Surgery Center is an outpatient surgery center, which includes six operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and 28 patient bays for pre-surgical preparation and post-surgical recovery for patients who undergo orthopedic surgery, total joint replacement, neuro spine surgery, pain management procedures, general surgery, ear, nose and throat, musculoskeletal, gastro-intestinal and other surgical procedures.

Our providers are part of Midwest Orthopeadics and Rush University Medical Center, the highest ranked academic medical Center in Illinois, according to a study of 99 leading U.S. academic medical centers by Vizient.

As one of the largest pain centers in the United States, University Pain Centers, affiliated with Rush University Medical Center's Department of Anesthesiology, provides acute and chronic pain management services to more than 10,000 patients annually.

Its Rush faculty physicians are nationally recognized experts in the field of pain research and have extensive experience in providing successful treatment for a broad range of pain disorders using a comprehensive, systematic, and multi-disciplinary approach to the diagnosis and management of pain with the entire spectrum of interventional modalities, pharmacology, psychology, and alternative medical techniques.

University Pain Centers offers a full range of multidisciplinary diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for patients with acute and chronic pain.

Our goal is simple: Treat the whole patient using a multidisciplinary approach in pain management that includes modalities from traditional medical fields such as anesthesiology, interventional pain medicine, psychology and pharmacology, as well as alternative medical techniques such as acupuncture. By combining resources, our doctors are able to provide state-of-the-art pain management care with the latest in technology and treatment choices.

The Department of Anesthesiology at Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) offers a 1 year, post-residency, pain fellowship for physicians desiring to further their knowledge and expertise in treating pain.

Located in the heart of Chicago's West Side Medical Center District, the Department of Anesthesiology at RUMC offers a unique and sophisticated training opportunity in a high-quality tertiary-care setting where all aspects of anesthetic care and pain management are delivered.

Those trained in the Rush Fellowship gain experience in one of the country's most active pain centers. The Rush Department of Anesthesiology provides acute and chronic pain management services for more than 10,000 patients annually in perioperative and non-operative settings.

All of the faculty physicians have specialized training and expertise in the field of Pain Medicine. Each has extensive experience in providing successful treatment for a wide range of pain disorders including: back pain, cancer pain, chronic pain syndrome, complex regional pain syndrome, diabetic and other peripheral neuropathies, failed back syndrome, post-operative pain, and sports injuries.

The goal of the program is to ensure that our fellowship graduates are well qualified, nationally prominent for specialized clinical practice, either in the university or the community setting.
